General Information

• The BlueWater Rescue 8 is forged from high-strength aluminum. Forging produces higher strength and greater durability than casting.
• The finish of the BlueWater Rescue 8 uses a two-step anodization process that adds to the effective life of the product. Because this process does not create a shell-like layer, rope wear will not form the sharp edges commonly found with hard-coat anodization. NOTE: No coloration is permanent. Expect normal use to eventually wear away the color at areas that come in contact with the rope.
• This device is designed for RAPPELLING AND LOWERING ONLY and should not be used for any other purposes. It is absolutely necessary to thoroughly train on all rescue equipment prior to use.
• The frictional characteristics of this device can differ due to many factors including, but not limited to: rope diameter, rope stiffness, abrasion, moisture content of the rope and user weight.
• Inspect your Rescue 8 carefully after each use. Look for sharp edges that could damage your rope. If the device has been dropped, its reliability should be suspect until thorough inspection prooves differently.

  If for any reason the Rescue 8 is no longer considered to be safe, destroy and dispose of it to prevent further use.
